Electric tools like dryers, clippers, straighteners, etc. are also needed to style hair. A wide range of brushes and combs will allow you to detangle, finish, and create up-dos. To color hair, you will need mixing bowls, water sprays, hair color products, brushes to apply the color, bleach, etc. To service the nails, you need cuticle oils, acetone to remove gel polish, and a large variety of gel colors and polish. Clipper, buffers, files, and cuticle maintenance tools are a must. You also need a regular supply of tanning liquids, massage oils, and waxing lotions.

Identifying Product and Equipment Suppliers

When selecting the necessary equipment or products, keep in mind to never go the cheaper route. Because you are just starting out, you might think of curtailing your initial costs by buying cheap equipment and products. But what happens when customers visit your salon and are turned off by these low-quality items? You will inevitably fail to attract a constant flow of clients due to which you may have to shut down the salon and suffer losses. Why take such a risk? Make sure that you get top-notch equipment and products for your salon.

As far as suppliers are concerned, do a Google check to find potential candidates. Prepare a list of the suppliers and compare their prices, lead time, shipping abilities, reviews, and so on. Another great way to find a good supplier is to visit trade shows where they tend to show off their products. Software

In order to receive payments from customers, your salon will need an Electronic Point Of Sale (EPOS) system. This will include a cash register, monitor, a receipt printer, credit or debit card reader, and a bar code scanner. In addition to enabling smooth payments, such systems also allow you to keep a track of stock levels, sales, and so on.

Some EPOS machines won’t come with a card machine. As such, you will have to purchase it separately. But do make sure that the card machine you buy is compatible with the system. When inquiring about the EPOS system, remember to ask the seller whether the total cost involves the card reader or not.

Your salon will also need an online booking system. The booking system should allow customers to easily schedule their visits without any difficulties. If the booking process takes too much time, is confusing, or just lags, you will start losing clients. You can either hire a software professional to develop a custom online booking system or sign up for an already existing booking service. Make sure that the booking system can be accessed by the customer from all devices, whether it be through a PC, tablet, or smartphone.
