The web is a noisy place with a huge amount of competition. For bloggers, marketers and business owners this can make it very challenging to cut through that noise and grow a solid online presence. It’s such a challenge that most throw in the towel before they get a chance to gain traction.

The truth is that you can differentiate, cut through the noise and grow an online presence. It takes time, but it can be done.

The big question is how? To answer this question I asked 43 experts to help us out.

I asked:

If you could give one piece of advice to bloggers that would help them grow their online presence or just stand out online, what would it be?

I wanted to get to the core of what drives success for these experts.

The original post

The original post was a long read so we wanted to create something that was a lot easier to digest but still delivered a lot of actionable advice – this is where an infographic was a perfect fit. We went through the original post and pulled out the most actionable snippets of advice from everyone who took part.

Advice to help you grow your own online presence

The response was incredible and it was an honour to be able to feature experts that I have been following for a long time now. While every piece of advice is well worth thinking about, there are a number of responses that particularly resonated with me:
