Bloggertone TV Visits The World’s Biggest Music Venue – VenueOne

And here arrives another Great Irish Start Up. Bloggertone TV was honoured to meet Stephen Byrne of VenueOne (a recently launched Music website that literally brings live music into your living room via your laptop, iPad, mobile device or internet tv).

The company has spent two years building the site, developing and nurturing the right contacts in the music industry and listening to the music lover’s needs and wants.

They have some notable allies, such as Dave Fanning from 2FM and Frank Murray, well known for helping big bands including Thin Lizzy and The Pogues down the road to success.

The company now employs 20 people and looks set to grow rapidly as the site rolls out to a worldwide audience.

Stephen seems to really grasp the power of social media and the site has some ambitious plans to make the VenueOne experience a truly interactive one!

This interview got me thinking…..do most start-ups take the time to really listen to their target audience before they open their doors for business? I would love to hear your thoughts.

I hope you enjoyed the interview. PS. Do you think I could be the next Jedward?

Lol, I love the intro, Greg! Venue One sounds like a really exciting Irish start up, I’d suggest that we all watch out for them. Thanks to Stephen taking the time to tell us about the business.

That’s exactly it, Niall! Socialisation encourages a sense of community and belonging. This also serves to lessen a panicked response when there are setbacks or conflicts. People can think more clearly and feel more secure that someone “has their back.”

    Great pointers Elli,
It’s so important to have the communications lines open, AND to use them! I am in the middle of a book by an English business man called Allan Leighton on Leadership – lots of great examples of how great leaders communicate with their managers, employees, and especially customers.
Well worth a look at. Great post Elli

Thanks for reading and commenting, Elaine. And the book recommendation! I’ll look for it. Great leaders do understand that continuity of good communication goes beyond internal communications. Again, thanks!

Aside from being “low-cost”, the good thing about Ryanair is that they provide convenience in their customers. The planes are modern and the airports tend to be small but again zero hassle for getting through and parking.Great article David!

For sure, Jannie! Doing the right things, doing them consistently and always looking to learn from the experience – is the only secret sauce. However, while the numbers may get the headlines, the value is often in the relationships and these can happen from the get go.

Thanks for that great overview – a must read for al bloggers. I totally believe in the research element and the regularity of publishing – Tweakyourbiz has taught me that much in the last year. I have a question – re listening for topics that readers want ? What methods do you use (apart from Keyword searches of course)?

  • http://tweakyourbiz.com/ Niall Devitt

I get asked a lot for help. Clients ask me questions, even Tweak Your Biz people ask me questions. I simply keep a record of these questions and use my content to answer them. Or, in other words, I don’t come up with the ideas for my content, I let my customers do that for me. For instance, the question you have just asked me here about listening to customers could become a fully blown post along the lines of ” How to use customer questions to create better content” etc.

these tips Niall!By submitting your content to social sharing communities
like StumbleUpon and Reddit, you’re bound to see a significant traffic
increase. StumbleUpon makes it easy to upload and tag content, plus it is
    very user friendly.

You have good points on how to increase blog traffic. I believe these are try and error methods because they is no specific method of increasing blog traffic unless you are using Pay per Click programs

    Great points & thanks Barbara.

These methods are for driving organic growth but PPC works too if you have budget.
