Reviews are something we used to rely on before we downloaded an App, surely it must be a good indication as to how good an App is! Not necessarily, as we found out once we started developing our own apps and were on the receiving end of reviews.

There are so many questions that you need to ask before pressing ahead with your app development project that it is easy to overlook some of the most important ones. When you hear the word “App” mentioned, do you know what is being referred to? It could depend on the context in which the word was used, but if it is predicated by words like “iPhone”, “Android”, Smartphone”, or “Mobile” you would expect it to mean something very specific; in that context, the “App” would be a mobile device app that you would download from the iTunes AppStore or the Android Market and install on your smartphone.

Creating a fantastic App is easy with the right developer, but creating a fantastic app that gets noticed and downloaded is another challenge altogether. You may have created the world’s greatest app, an app that will have a massive impact on everyone’s lives, but unless they know about it, it’s just another app in a sea of several hundred thousand other apps.
